A Few Tips

As a small boutique shop, we look forward to bringing our brides a wonderful experience.  We kindly ask that no food, drinks or pets be brought to the boutique.  We also find it difficult to accommodate small children due to the heavy mirrors and large, heavy dress racks - safety first!!  If you have any extenuating circumstances, please call and we’ll do our best to find a time to accommodate your needs. 

 

Because we want your experience to be just as fabulous as the wedding gown you’ll find, here are a couple of tips to help make the most of your day shopping with us

 

 

Do I need an appointment?

 

We are happy to welcome all customers to our boutique! We do highly recommend appointments so that we can personalize the experience and pamper each bride with undivided personal attention.  We welcome browsing and can often accommodate last minute weekday appointment inquiries.

 

How long are appointments?

 

We allot an hour and a half for bridal appointments.  Because we are a boutique store with all gowns on display for browsing, this is the perfect amount of time to select your favourites and try them on.

 

What should I bring to my appointment?

 

A  strapless bra and shapewear similar to what you'll wear on your wedding day can be helpful.  Shoes in a similar height to those you plan to wear at your wedding can also help you see the complete picture when dress shopping.  We kindly ask that brides refrain from wearing excess make-up and self tanner to their appointments. 

 

You may also want to bring pictures of dresses you love that you’ve seen on websites or magazines.  This will help us get started in the selection process!   Our stylist may also have some recommendations that you will love XOXO

 

 

How many people may I bring with me?

 

Our bridal boutique accommodates 5-6 guests in your party.  We are a cozy little shop with limited seating, and believe that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for the bride. 

 

 

When should I order my gown?

 

We recommend ordering your gown 6-9 months prior to your wedding day, allowing time for production, shipping, and alterations.  Don’t have that long? Not to worry – some designers have stock available within shorter time frames.  We recommend that you book an appointment at the boutique so we can discuss in more detail what your various options are.  Just keep an open mind and most importantly, enjoy your shopping experience!

 

 

Will I need alterations?

 

We like to order the dress as close to your current size as possible, but nearly all bridal gowns need alterations to give it a perfect fit for your wedding day.  We do not do fittings at the boutique since a seamstress’ shop has all the bells and whistles at their fingertips to achieve a perfect fit and any last minutes changes you may want to make to your gown.

Do you allow pictures?

 

Yes!  We understand that dress shopping can be overwhelming and pictures make it easier to remember the dresses you tried on!  We believe that the dress shopping experience is part of your big day and you may want to capture those memories for your photo album!


 

How much of a deposit is required?

 

We require 60% of the total cost on all orders as a deposit, or you may pay the invoice completely.  Whichever works for you.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, debit and cash.   Personal cheques may be accepted for initial deposit only.
